I Think My Boxer Puppy Is Too Skinny

Hey, I don't think you need to worry..but I know how hard it is NOT to when it's somebody important, especially a dog. In my opinion, it's simply because he's still a young pup. Just as when children grow up, they usually remain skinny until they reach adolescence and then fill it--your puppy is probably going through the same process.

So my dog poops a lot before food and after food also. I think he is not able to digest the food. The colour of the poop is light yellow. I think he is having constipation not sure. He is far too skinny and I think it may be to do with his food. The food we feed him meets AAFCO levels. At 8 weeks he should have just left his mom and littermates so it will take sometime for him to "beef up". 10 lbs is a good weight for a puppy his age, so he in my opinion is not underweight. Just like humans you know, some of us are chubby and others skinny but what matters is if were healthy. You got her all checked out for parasites so that's good. My puppy was very underweight from 8 weeks to 5 months then started putting on good weight but you can still see some of her ribs. She is 6 months now and weighs 34 pounds. We already have a boxer, but just got a male boxer puppy who is around 3 months old. When we met the breeder & saw him I thought he was very skinny...our first one wasn't like that. We could see ribs & I didn't think it was right. We took him to our vet & the vet said that it's perfectly normal.
