I Hate My Lab Puppy
The general rule of thumb for walking puppies is to walk them 12 minutes for every month of the puppy's life. This does not seem like much, but remember that they are still growing, and vigorous walking at too young an age can hinder their growth as their bones are not yet full size (obviously) and are still pretty soft.
I hate my lab puppy. But my top two favorite breeds are Labs and Pit Bulls. Both of them, I have to say, have equal hate towards them. It's just people's opinions. People judge way to easily. The ones who "hate" either one of the breeds, have more than likely never even been around the breed. Don't get stressed about it. I know I have before lol. I hate to keep him locked in a kennel all the time, but I don't know what else to do. My last resort is to get him fixed. If that doesn't work, I will probably have to get rid of him and I will never ever ever get another lab EVER! Any advice on how to handle my situation would be much appreciated. Scientifically – I have a 5 year old labrador DOG. At about 8 months had to take him to a Vet who is also on faculty at Auburn Vet School.. He was glad to hear that my dog was still intact ( I really hate that term) so that he could more fully develop. In that first blog post, I described my experience raising my first puppy, and just how friggin’ hard it was. “I thought I ended up with the worst puppy in the world,” I said, exaggerating slightly for dramedic effect, but only VERY SLIGHTLY. I get countless emails that go like this: “Oh thank God! In no time your puppy will be used to wearing his brand new puppy collar and his shiny new pet tags just leave them on and they’ll get used to it. By the way, this probably doesn’t apply to most people, but most of my puppies hate wearing their “Puppy In Training” bib/jacket a couple of my pups even chewed up the sides of the material. Write “puppy help” in the subject line so that it’ll stand out in my inbox. [UPDATE: I hate to do this, but I’m not currently responding to these “Puppy Help” emails. There have been too many to keep up with lately, so for the sake of my workday (and my mental health), I’m taking a break. My dog is a pedigree dog, gets regular, long walks and is very fit and healthy in all other respects. He attended puppy classes regularly until about 18months old, and was spayed as a puppy. What can I do to stop this, seemingly increasingly aggressive behaviour? Any suggestions would be gratefully received. Thank you.
That’s a big girl. Lol. My chocolate lab is 9 years old and weighs about 79lbs. He too has missing hair, on his elbows. The vet said it was just because he leans on them when he lays down. He also hates the water, we have a pool and he won’t get near it. Lol. Bob, my lab, hates the rain and will not eat, drink water, or go out if it’s. Sometimes a puppy just hasn't learned to be held yet. The first three months of a puppy's life are when he learns the most about what's normal and what isn't, and the way he's treated during that period drastically affects his entire life. If he isn't accustomed to being held during that time, learning to like it later on can be difficult. That’s because, if the older dogs behave intolerantly toward the puppy at all times, it’s not just a question of the puppy learning dog social rules, such as “Don’t bother me during my nap, Puppy.” Instead, the puppy is getting the message that any attempt to interact with adult dogs gets an aggressive response. So I’m anticipating some criticism for my honesty—starting with my sister, who bakes organic treats for her rowdy lab. But don’t worry about Fig, who has legions of fans. I have his back.
While some dogs are tail-wagging happy to ride in the car, others pant, pace and even become physically ill during a car trip. Anxious dogs are often left at home, but that’s not always an option; dogs have places they need to go, like the vet's office or the groomer's.For a frightened dog, the stress of riding in the car can have long-term effects; if not addressed early, the anxiety can. I don't like my puppy and I hate myself for it. My SO and I got a female lab puppy a little over a month ago, and she is now just over 3 months old. Our problem is that we can't get her to stop biting us. I'm not talking about little nips here and there. She breaks skin, has drawn blood, and my SO has bruises all over her arms and legs.
