A husky dog wants to sleep on the couch next to his boss, but the place is a puppy. But the dog does not hesitate to pull the puppy off the couch and throw it down to take his place. Guarding people, places and things is normal for dogs (and for most people!) and growling is a dog’s way of giving a warning. The aggressive display may stop with a growl (especially if the perceived threat goes away) or it may be a precursor to snapping and biting. My husky mix pup throws up randomly every other week.
